this song/clip bring back so many memories. if you haven’t seen wicker park, i suggest you watch it as soon as possible. i may be the only one who loves this movie but i don’t even care. i think it was perfectly done…its amazing how an ending can make up for an entire movie. eh ignore this post…its one of those days.

so my lovely friend B (britt blackbird) introduced me to mumford & sons quite a while ago but i just have to claim my love for them. they are truly amazing. favorite song right now would be ‘awake my soul’…the lyrics are perfect. adding it to my list of exclusive favorites. Today has been a mumford&sons kind of day. <3

seriously this guy completes me. he is madly talented… he speaks french, he can sing, he can dance, he is a straight up artist. i fell in love with him back in 10 things i hate about you and he added to this love with his role in 500 days of summer. lets not forget inception or his appearance on SNL. or how creative he is, just do some research on www.hitrecord.org -mmm #ilovehim. (yes i realize this is not a tweet) here is his intro on SNL just to give you a little glimpse of my love for him. *side note* his DETAIL magazine cover was the only thing to make it alive from my car accident, that and myself obviously

2010 came and left so fast…

2010 started & ended so well…

-Pretty much started 2010 (end of 2009) moving out of the parentals for the 2nd time & moved in with some friends.

-Vegas for Miss B Smith’s (now Romero) bachelorette party. WAY too much fun.

-added PHOENIX to the list of favorite bands to see live. attended with the ultimate concert buddy-Aubs.Vampire Weekend, Young the Giant, Temper Trap and MANY more joined in.

-put blood, sweat & tears into planning my best friend’s wedding. which was amazing. absolutely beautiful.

-Purchased a new car.

-Went to CA with some girlfriends and enjoyed the beach. First trip in new car. introduced the girls to the cheese shop and worked on our tans. it was amazing.

-Drove up to UT with 2 blackburns & stayed with liiiza. Visited Park City & Temple Square. Met up with the burbachs & mikey to attend the MUSE show. SUCH a good night/show.

-threw a bridal shower for the bride to be of my brother…cousin Mark came home from Chile where he served a mission.

-Took a CA birthday trip with aubs, chels & holly (me & aubs/chels have birthdays within two weeks of each other)-drove all night and went straight to disneyland when we got there. not the best disneyland trip but it was a great birthday TWENTY-THREE!? Added 2 more trips to CA in 2010 which included a short stop to Sea World where i met ELMO & then a Coheed/Cambria show.

- went to Montana just to go to Wyoming for my brother to marry such a sweet girl. she is the perfect addition to our family.

-Uncle’s wedding

-Finally saw SOCO live. They reunited for another tour aaand it was epic. I met Andrew even-he signed my diet coke shirt!

-moved out with some new girls in a new house aka the bungalow.

-fulfilled my lifelong dream of being batgirl.

-experienced harry potter 7 @ midnight.

-lost the car that i bought in march. went unconscious, rode in an ambulance and ralphed all over a hot paramedic.

Thats pretty much how the year ended. I have to say that it was an amazing year but i have a feeling that 2011 will exceed 2010′s events greatly. More weddings, more concerts, and more trips. *can’t wait*

so a friend of mine started doing these happy lists a couple of years ago…just send a list of the top 10 things that make you happy at that moment. welllll i save all of them. because they are hilarious to read months and almost a year later. so this is dedicated to hollzballz, B, gingy, myself and helen keller. here are a few misc. things that made them happy in the last year or so…

H- 5. Laughing out loud when I think of how by playing the miming game you almost called yourself a biatch but caught it just in time. HAHA

Me- 9.Heavenly father…I know a little mushy. But I don’t think I would have gotten through yesterday without Him & my prayers.

10. Shoes. Yup I just went from Heavenly Father to shoes.

Aubs- 6. quoting “I Love You, Man”

Chels- 8. I slept in till 11

B- 4.) i cant wait to wear my new engagement dress

Aubs- 6. thinking about adding blue in my hair. keyword= thinking. no worries, I’m not really doing it.

Chels- 7. THE video… I wish I would have had time to watch it at work… it would have made my day THAT much better

(^That is by far the best video from that house. [Holly escaping from a flying cricket? priceless.])

H- 10. 3 day old hair…

me- 1. I was doing laundry last night, smelt one of my bags that I used in California…mmm I MISS IT. can we go soon? please?

Chels- 2. the fabulous peanut butter bars that haunt my dreams, but still make me happy (and hungry…)

Aubs- 6. Returning my shoes that made my feet look like Hercules and getting cash back. I can’t pull off the strappy sandal look I’ve decided.

(i don’t know why Aubs but number 6 on your lists are seriously the best?? )

me- 6. Breakfast- dr. pepper and ritz crackers. Yup. Mmm.

H- 7. 16 and Pregnant. It really put things into perspective for me…abstinence is for me!!!!

B- 10.) i have the coolest roommates.

A few of my favorite things…on a Saturday night

So for the past few days…my back has been completely out. We’re talkin’ barely able to walk…can’t even get comfortable to sleep. It has been to say the least, awful. As you’ve seen in my last post, i moved into our new home which is absolute perfection (ok with a few bumps here and there). One of those bumps has been the fact that my back has been out so I’m extremely limited on what I am able to do. I want to get my house completely perfect all at once but i have finally accepted the fact that i need to rest and take the vicodin that the kind doctor gave me (heh) and THEN i can get it to where i want it to be. But until then the vicodin and icy/hot will be nursing me back to health. So with my back being the way it is, i can’t do anything sociable. But let me tell you, it has its perks…my mom/roomies have brought me food…actually the only perk is being served food, haha. OH and getting completely caught up on Dexter. I love that show.

Although I’m barely able to walk, i was given a small spurt of time to go with my roomie hollzballz to IKEA. Now Ikea is absolutely amazing. There is just no if’s and’s or but’s about that one. Great looks, great prices, great meatballs (you know you love them). BUUUUUT….the way a large end table comes in a thin box is a hint to the work you have ahead of you. And an understanding of the extremely low price tag next to it. And lets face it, those wordless directions DO NOT help. Ikea is one of the many reasons why A. I need to be fluent in swedish or B. Have a boyfriend/husband. I’m gonna say that A would be the easier one to achieve at this point in time.

And now on a Saturday night (actually Sunday morning now) i am barely comfortably sitting here on the floor trying to put together a chalkboard for our kitchen. I should call it quits since the dinky end table next to me took TWO HOURS to put together. TWO HOURS PEOPLE. i know i am blonde…but i ain’t stupid. Thankfully… The Sound of Music is keeping me company (and encouraging me somehow).

I hope those of you who actually read this…had a more eventful Saturday night than i did.

well with a few changes here and there, some good and bad/sad, i am the proud new (kind of) roommate of the following girls:

hollzballz (pronounced [hallzballz]):

she is well traveled. great cook (well good breakfast burritos-thats all i’ve had.) horrible british accent. half hawaiin. laughs at almost everything…definitely makes you feel like you’re the funniest person alive. super smart. and has been my unofficial roommate at my current house for the past year or so. but we’ll be changing that in less than two weeks…she will soon be my official roommate. and cook me breakfast burritos. lets not forget shes a great friend. i’m pretty sure my family would like to switch me for her. sad but true.

gingy (pronounced [gin-GEE])

chelsey oliver. has the voice of a disney princess. she is probably one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. has a very normal addiction to diet coke (three 32oz. DC’s from QT in ONE day is normal right??), has the same love if not greater as i do for disneyland (phew-i’m not alone). has adorable style. billie holiday is her girl. comes from a fabulous family of 7…yes, 7, her being the eldest. i just love gingy. she is my current roommate and makes fabulous peach tea. i have decided to take her with me to the new place. it would not be complete without her.

and last but certainly not least…

ollipop (pronounced[Auh-LEE-pop])

this girl is nuts. ok i kid i kid. she is very…eclectic. loves comics. and zombies. she has been part of my concert group for the past few months and we always have a blast. she is hilarious. and chill. she is the newest of the bunch but i am stoked to add her in. oh and lets not forget our common love for AVATAR. we both want to be an avatar.

so imagine us four girls chillin outside our new home (without keys) just dreaming of what the next year is going to be like. and then add in our sparkling white grape…cider? with fake champagne glasses and a notepad declaring our house name and rules/guidelines. i don’t know if the “sparkling” white grape cider was really “sparkling”…but after about an hour or so, we had laughed off our mimi’s cafe dinner and dubbed holly as a mean fake drunk. seriously though…so excited to move in with these girls. its the perfect place for all of us. so cheers to a fabulous year in a fabulous house with fabulous girls.

i came upon this great book the other day while at barnes & noble…called, “One Day” by David Nicholls. To sum it up..its a british version (almost) of when harry met sally. its moments, good and bad on july 15th every year through 20 years of two best friends. i love spending my weekends just reading a great book and this past weekend was well worth staying in reading this book. whoever does read this blog (thank you roomies), you should definitely read this book. for lack of a better review…its very real. and very witty. i loved it. and of course there will be a film made based on this book…anne hathaway & jim sturgess? yes please.
